Experience a full-day boat trip to the westernmost part of Crete and visit two of the most famous attractions, Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island. You are picked up by an air-conditioned bus at a pick-up point near your hotel and driven to the port of Kissamos. There you will board a large comfortable boat with an open deck and bar-restaurant. Enjoy your cruise along the coast and see the dramatic cliff from the water. The boat after a 1-hour journey will approach the island of Gramvousa or the lagoon of Balos (depending on the schedule). The island of Gramvousa was once a pirate cove. Choose to walk for 20 minutes to the Venetian castle which is built on a steep cliff 137 meters high. Enjoy from here a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the unique landscape. You can also swim in the area next to the church of the Holy Apostles. The boat will then depart for the Balos lagoon, which you will reach after about 20 minutes. Balos is characterized as one of the best beaches in the world. Words cannot convey the wild beauty of your eyes. You will admire the white and in some places the pink sand, the turquoise waters and the natural beauty of this unique place. You will have the opportunity to stay in this paradise and swim. **Due to the new rules for Natura 2000 areas, the boat will stop about 10 meters away from the beach of Balos (depending on the weather) for 2.5 hours, where you will be able to swim.
